Ride for Saturday, Nov. 3rd

Happy Halloween, Riders!

Hope you all have a safe and Spook-tacular day.

This Saturday we'll be hosting an intermediate ride. Jenn and Mike will take you out to Chatfield and around for a 35 mile ride. As usual, we'll meet at 9am and ride at 9:30am. Dress in layers, bring a spare tube, and fluids/snacks!

Also, indoor cycling classes will start Tuesday, November 13th, and will take place every Tuesday at 5:45pm at the shop. Cost is $6/class, or buy a punch card and get 6 for $30 - if you've shopped around, you know what a great price that is! These are drop in classes open to riders of all abilities. Bring your own bike, a towel, and fluids for a great workout; class will conclude with 15 minutes of core work, so bring a yoga mat or beach towel if you'd like to stay for that part. The attached flyer has all the details. Hope to see you there!

Rides for Saturday the 27th

Hey Group Riders,

This Saturday we're hosting 2 rides.

Mike and Dan will take out the beginner riders out Bear Creek and south on the Platte to Hudson Gardens and back. This route is about 23 miles and is relatively flat.

Brad and Will take the intermediate and advanced routes out on a 41 1/2 mile ride around the area: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/148075153
This route goes along the road and bike paths with some rollers. The group can split up into a fast group and an intermediate group following the same route so those riders wanting more miles at a 15-18mph pace can do so without the 20+ pace.

As usual, we meet at 9am and ride at 9:30am.

Ride for Saturday, October 13th

Hello Group Riders,

Tomorrow we'll be hosting one route - a 30ish mile ride out Belleview, around 470 trail, up Ken Caryl and down Deer Creek and around. This ride has some climbs in it. We'll go at a speed of recreational to intermediate. Come on a road bike and be ready to ride some where between 13-20 mph. We have enough ride leaders to be able to split into two groups for a fast group and a moderate speed group. Just be comfortable with the distance, the climbs, and averaging at least 13 mph.

The weather is looking iffy, and could very well change on us while out on the ride, so bring layers and be comfortable riding in wet conditions should it start sprinking on us.

As always, we meet at 9am and ride out at 9:30am.

See you there!

Ride for October 6th

Hi all, if the weather holds out, we'll be hosting one ride tomorrow - a recreational/intermediate ride. This ride is suited for road bikes, and will average 15 mph. Route will be determined tomorrow depending on the weather, but will be around 30-35 miles.

It will be cold! Please bundle up if you're coming, and be comfortable with winter riding conditions including road debris, ice/snow on the trail, changing weather conditions. This means different clothing, gloves, shoes, pants, head/ear covers, etc. You may want hand/foot warmers.

If you haven't ridden with us through the winter, we ride year round if the roads are clear and it isn't snowing/raining. We have done some COLD, sub-freezing temp rides, where we're the only people out on the trails and we LOVE it!

We will only post if the ride is CANCELLED, and that post will be on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/bicyclevillagesouthwest
Please check there if you're in doubt. As usual, we'll meet at 9am and ride at 9:30am.
