Ride

Heppy Friday Group Riders!

Hope you've all enjoyed watching the USA PCC as much as we have - it's been an exciting race!

This weekend we've got a couple of different options for you.

Donna will take out another beginners group for a 15-20 mile. While we understand that some of you are apprehensive about riding on the street, the location of our shop is such that it does require some on road riding. By following safe riding practices (such as staying single file on the street, making your intentions know by signaling and lane position, and making eye contact with drivers), street riding can be safe and fun. We just need to remember that "Share the Road" goes both ways, and street riding is a natural part of cycling.

Dan will take out the intermediate riders on a 30ish ride counter clockwise on the 470 trail with a detour up en Caryl and down Deer Creek, through Chatfield and up the Platte. This is always a fun ride with some fast descents.

Brad will take the advanced riders on a 48ish mile ride down south through Chatfield to Sedalia and back. This is a new one for you all!

For those of you looking for a little adventure, our Boulder store will lead a group ride out for an easy 2 hour ride then stop to watch the USA PCC pass through and hang out. This should be a fun time if you're up for it!

All rides meet at 9am and ride out at 9:30am. Bring fluids, a spare tube and sunscreen and see you all in the morning.

Rides for August 18th

Hey Group Riders!

We have two great rides planned for you this Saturday.

New Ride Leader, Donna, will take out a beginners group. Do you have familyor friends who want to start riding? They can do it their own pace with ourbeginner group! This group will ride from Bicycle Village via Grant Ranch Blvd to the Mary Carter Greenway Trail down to South Platte Reservoir and back the same way. This is a 15 mile ride at 10-12 mile per hour pace. We are planning to stop as needed to make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves! Please bring yourroad or hybrid bike.

We appreciate your RSVP for the beginner ride so we know to expect you. If you have any questions, please let us know!

The intermediate and advanced riders will go out with Justin, Jenn and Brad down to Castle Rock and around Daniel's Park. This is approzimately 42+ miles. Those wishing for more climbing and a longer distance will break off and head down to Santa Fe and back up before heading back to the shop. This ride does include a 2 mile section of hardpacked gravel road, but it's downhill, and really well packed.

As always, we will meet at 9am and ride out at 9:30am. Bring lots of water, sunscreen, a spare tube and smiles! We'll see you on Saturday.

Dan and Reid will take the intermediate riders up Dinosaur Ridge and Red Rocks. This is a 25 mile ride with some good climbs mixed in.

Justin will take the advanced group out east and south through Daniel's Park and back. This ride is about 46 miles long, with some long climbs, and dirt road section that's about 2 1/2 to 3 miles long.

We'll meet at 8am and ride out about 10 mins later. Arrive ready to go, pumping your tires and preparing yourself at home before you come out. These rides are DROP rides, and non-supported - be comfortable changing your own tires and what not, and know your ability for the route (elevation profile is included). You can RSVP and sign up for future notifications on the Meetup site.
